Dr Matthew Kilpin

Dr Matthew Kilpin is a specialist anaesthetist with a public appointment at Western Health and cares for patients across most surgical specialties. He has sub-specialised in paediatric anaesthesia, with extensive fellowship training at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Dr Kilpin has completed a Masters in Perioperative Medicine which enables the provision of up-to-date, safe and evidence-based care. Dr Kilpin is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), a member of the Society for Paediatric Anaesthesia in New Zealand & Australia (SPANZA), a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA), and participates in the ANZCA Continuing Professional Development program.

Dr Kilpin prides himself on his ability to build rapport with you or your children on the day of surgery and fundamentally prioritises patients feeling safe, informed and comfortable throughout their entire journey.
